シンガポール赴任から戻り、

新たな業務にも慣れ心身ともに落ち着いてきたころ、

ミュージカルクラスに戻った

メンバーも変わらずにいて、

何の抵抗もなく戻れたことは奇跡に近い

復帰初めの曲に選んだのは、

ミュージカルの原点ともいえるオスカー・ハマスタイン

1956年には、デボラ・カーとユル・ブリンナー主演で映画化

そして、ケリー・オハラ、渡辺謙によるリバイバルステージ

長く人気を保っているのは

東洋と西洋という交われない双極にある

永遠のテーマに魅力は尽きないからだろう

この曲では、

学者ルンタが奴隷タプティムに駆け落ちの計画を語る

ロマンティックな詞が
