第一幕の最初に歌われるこの曲は

ファントムのその後を思い起こさせる

哀れさを漂わせながら

執着心はちゃんと残している

また父親のような温かさも

覗かせる

 

この歌が好きなのは

ファントムからつながる

一貫したキャラクターであり

自身に流れる歌や音楽への想いもまた

この歌にはこめられているような

気持ちになれる

 

最後の続く部分が

この曲のピーク

想いが伝わり

歌いながら

涙しそうになる

This musical started on West End,

having had a chance to see in Tokyo.

Yet no chance to see on Broadway.

 

This is the first song on stage.

Phantom reveals a pity of his life but remains tenacity

also mercy of father

 

The reason why I like this song is that

Phantom’s character in the “Phantom of the Opera” continues. 

My consistent passion to music meets this song lyrics.

 

At the part of the end of this song 

my feeling runs high
